Imagining a nature-positive and climate resilient future for Europe

Water technology innovations play a pivotal role in this vision by enabling sustainable water management, mitigating water scarcity, and improving the resilience of ecosystems to climate change. Advanced technologies such as water recycling systems, smart irrigation techniques, and flood prediction and management tools are vital to adapting to changing water cycles. Innovations in water purification and desalination ensure access to clean water, while green infrastructure, combined with water-sensitive urban designs, can prevent flooding and enhance urban biodiversity.
