How to improve water efficiency in the Process industry – Practical learnings
The Process industry has experienced a renewed focus on water efficiency in Operation as a part of their sustainability profile. Front runners have been the F&B industry for which water is a key priority in their Materiality Assessment. The session will focus on a well proven methodology that has provided substantial improvements within both F&B as well as Ingredients and pharma industries developing roadmaps to reach the industries sustainability targets. The session will present practical examples of solutions on the 4R’s – Reduce, Reuse, Recircle and Rethink.

Søren Nøhr Bak has worked with industrial water and water efficiency for +30 years in different positions. He holds detailed knowledge on industrial water efficiency and treatment working for the F&B, pharma and Power-to-X industries.
Through the years Søren has experience in technical solutions, financing, and implementation working in organizations ranging from Research, start-ups, large cooperations and consultancy. Søren holds MScE degrees from AaU (DK), UoW (USA) and commercial from IMD (CH) and KTH (S).
