This new marketplace is a practical enabler within Qatium’s Open Water approach and a step towards achieving our mission to make digital water management available to all utilities, big and small.

Water utilities around the world often face similar challenges but end up reinventing the wheel by developing solutions independently. This way of working is slow and puts the water industry behind at a time when we need to quickly come up with innovative solutions to address today’s rapidly changing water challenges, like climate change.

The concept of “Open Water” is central to our approach at Qatium. Open Water is about transparency, collaboration, and free sharing of information (as opposed to competitive guarding) — with an underlying goal to accelerate innovation, improve accessibility, and create value through collective effort in the water sector.

By providing an SDK and marketplace for the water community to develop and share their creative solutions, Qatium aims to disrupt old ways of working in the water sector, reduce the digital divide between utilities, and foster a collaborative environment that drives progress and benefits everyone.
