Following on from a record 24-hour pre-registration, Aquatech Amsterdam exhibition is now 99 per cent sold out…

Europe’s largest water focused exhibition gathers pace

Aquatech Global Events is pleased to announce that its flagship European event in Amsterdam is now 99 per cent sold out.

Over 1000 exhibitors are expected at Europe’s largest water and wastewater focused exhibition.

More than 25,000 water professionals are anticipated to visit Amsterdam in the first week of November for four days of networking and knowledge sharing with industry peers.

As well as exhibitors, the show recently broke another record with over 1000 water professionals from 100 countries pre-registering only 24 hours after the registration campaign kicked-off.

Building a leading reputation

This year an expanded show will move to larger halls, opening up two entrances and leading to more space for exhibitors.

The core focus of Aquatech has always been about treatment technologies: wastewater, drinking water and process water.

Born in 1964, Aquatech Amsterdam has evolved over the years to feature a wide range of water related products, from pipes and pumps, membranes and metering to water technology solutions.

Now 55 years later, the show has built a leading reputation by following the market closely. Over the last editions urban and industrial water were added to the programme as well as resource recovery, desalination, smart metering and more.

New focus on digitalisation

This year will also see the launch of the Aquatech Innovation Forum with the tagline: Mastering water's digital transformation.

The Innovation Forum programme is now 90 per cent complete with over 30 speakers signed up, including 15 utilities from over 16 countries.

Water utilities confirmed to speak include: Aarhus Vand (Denmark); Anglian Water (UK); Emschergenossenschaft (Germany); Gothenburg City (Sweden); Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission (US); Vitens (Netherlands) & Coliban Water (Australia).

Taking place on Monday November 4th ahead of the well-established Aquatech Amsterdam Exhibition, the Innovation Forum is proving that digitalisation is a trending topic, attracting multiple sponsors.

Spanish solutions provider GoAigua has been confirmed as the 'Headline Sponsor', as well as Sensus, a Xylem brand, as the 'Great Wall' sponsor, Acciona Agua as the 'Breakfast Sponsor' and DuPont Water Solutions as the 'Wi-Fi sponsor'.

Knowledge exchange galore

Marieke Leenhouts, exhibition manager, said: “As well as over 1000 exhibitors and the expected 25,000 visitors, we are offering a rich content programme during the week in Amsterdam. A key part of the exhibition are the multiple, themed pavilions, showcasing diverse and engaging content.”

The theme pavilions include the Industrial User Experience, powered by Wetsus addressing the oil & gas, food and beverage, chemical and energy sectors. There is also the Smart Water Networks Pavilion (powered by SWAN), BlueTech Research Innovation Pavilion, Desalination Pavilion (powered by EDS) and Pumps & Process plaza.

Harold Mol, Senior Sales Consultant, added: “Aquatech Amsterdam continues to be Europe’s number one water exhibition. We have had a huge amount of interest from new companies outside of Europe for this next edition, including solutions providers for pumps, membranes, valves and other leading water technology. It’s going to be a true international event!”
