Record 24-hour sign-up for Aquatech Amsterdam

Wednesday, 19 June 2019

Aquatech Amsterdam is surpassing expectations with 75 percent of the show already sold out and a record number of visitors already signed up.

Expanded show floor close to sell out

Only 24 hours after kick-starting its registration campaign, Aquatech Amsterdam has already surpassed expectations. Over 1,000 water professionals from close to 100 different countries preregistered as visitors in just one day.

Furthermore, one year before the show starts 75 per cent of the exhibition had already been sold out.

As a result, this year’s Amsterdam event will be expanded, with plans in place to streamline the show and move to larger halls.

Such an investment will provide more room for exhibitors and also opens up two major entrances, allowing visitors to enter the show smoother and faster.

An expansion to the exhibition also raises the next challenge – a demand for increased visitor numbers. To meet this, we have kicked off our visitor campaign earlier than ever before.

A long history

Aquatech Amsterdam was born in 1964. The core focus of Aquatech has always been about treatment technologies: wastewater, drinking water and process water. Over the years the show features a wide range of water related products, from pipes and pumps, membranes and metering to water technology solutions.

Now 55 years later, the show has built a leading reputation by following the market closely. Over the last editions urban and industrial water were added to the programme as well as resource recovery, desalination, smart metering and more.

Aquatech is about ensuring water for everybody, focusing on the whole water cycle. For professionals from all parts of the water industry, as well as policymakers, top-level businesses, specialists, and those who use the technology hands-on in utilities or industrial plants.

Innovation always centre stage

As well as the exhibition, over the past year significant invested has been made into the Aquatech brand. We are creating more regular high-level content: news, views and analysis which are significantly increasing web traffic, engagement and solidifies our ties and reputation among the international water technology community.

On top of that this year we are launching the cherry on the cake: the Aquatech Innovation Forum. Following the advice of our esteemed content board, the theme will be: Mastering water's digital transformation.

This new, unconferenced-style forum broadens knowledge about digitalisation of the global water market. It is the perfect platform to engage, interact and where the line between the speakers and audience will blur as they trade places.

The Innovation Forum programme is now 80 per cent complete: a total of 28 speakers have been signed up, including 14 utilities from over 15 countries.

Together with Aquatech Amsterdam, the shows will continue to put innovation at the forefront. Thematic, topical hubs on current topics such as desalination technology, smart and digital water solutions, and climate change will be created during the event.

Adding to this will be the Aquatech Innovation Awards, where innovation and excellence will be rewarded. The spotlight will shine on excellence where we will accelerate connections between environmental challenges and technological solutions.

The race is on - who will come away victorious?!

Winners will be announced during the Aquatech Innovation Award Dinner. This new event combines dining, networking and learning about the winners first-hand.

The greater week

Aquatech Amsterdam and the Aquatech Innovation Forum are part of the Amsterdam International Water Week, combining multiple events aimed at everybody dealing with water, anywhere in the world. Amsterdam International Water Week 2019 is set to attract 30,000 professionals from government, business, industry and science.
