Station RAI is just 300 metres from the RAI building and has regular connections to Schiphol, Rotterdam, Utrecht, The Hague and the international rail network. RAI Amsterdam is only a couple of minutes walk from the RAI train station.

Get your visa

Visa

If you require a VISA, please make sure to arrange this as soon as possible. VISA application may take up to 6 weeks.
If you are planning a short visit to the Netherlands and you do not have Dutch nationality, you may need to apply for a visa. Whether or not you need a visa for the Netherlands depends on your nationality and the length of your stay in the Netherlands.

Apply for a Schengen visa at the Dutch mission (embassy or consulate) in the country where you reside or are entitled to reside. Visa is only provided if the requirements are met. One of the requirements might be to provide a visa invitation letter. RAI Amsterdam is able to supply this invitation letter. You will need to register as a visitor first. Your confirmation of registration will contain a link to apply for a visa invitation letter.

By bus, metro or tram

Bus 62, metro 52 and tram 4 all stop right outside the door (stop Europaplein) and provide an ideal connection to the center of Amsterdam and surrounding stations. Metro 50 and 51 stop at Amsterdam RAI Station, which is just a few minutes' walk to the RAI complex.

Directions to RAI Amsterdam

By car

RAI Amsterdam is situated just off Amsterdam's A10 ring motorway (exit 9) and has its own underground car park.
Visitors to public events are advised to use public transport. RAI Amsterdam is only 15 minutes away from Amsterdam Airport Schiphol and has its own train station.
During major events signposts along the ring road will direct you to one of the car parks on the edge of Amsterdam, where a shuttle bus will bring you to the RAI.

RAI Amsterdam has lots of parking facilities in and around the building. Visitors to public events are advised to use public transport.

Rates (rate per 1 January 2024)
The parking rate is € 5.50 per hour with a maximum of € 32.00 per day.
Motorcycles park for free in the parking zones for motorcycles outside of the parking garage.
