Sell-out event for key water sector market
The launch edition of the new Aquatech Mexico exhibition, the latest in the highly successful global series of Aquatech water sector events, resulted in attracting an overwhelming visitor attendance of 5,333 on a sold out show floor. The next edition allows for 30% expansion in square meters and is set for 5-6-7 September 2017. Over 60% of the expanded show floor is already rebooked.
Advance registration numbers had indicated the show was on course for a fantastic start, and these final figures confirmed this. They also mirrored the response of exhibitors, with the floor space for the inaugural event having completely sold out. Some 140 companies from around the world exhibited, coming from countries such as Israel, Korea, China, Netherlands, and USA, as well as from Mexico itself.
‘With an excellent partner in Mexico, E.J. Krause, an advisory committee of industry leaders and the support of both the Dutch and Mexican governments, we tried to create the perfect conditions for the new event and we are delighted with the result,’ says Marieke Leenhouts, product manager of Aquatech Mexico.
The Government of Mexico recently unveiled its Water Agenda for 2015-2030, underlining the water sector opportunities in the country in the years ahead. The response to Aquatech Mexico, with its focus on municipal, industrial, commercial and residential sectors, establishes it as a must-attend event for accessing this vibrant market.
¨We are very happy with the outcome of the first edition of AQUATECH MEXICO; we knew this was going to be a great event right from the beginning based on the interest in water topics and solutions indicated by our attendees to THE GREEN EXPO® in previous editions” says José Navarro, General Director for E.J. Krause de México
Access for visitors to the latest technology and service offerings on show in the exhibition area was complemented by a two-day Aquatech International Conference Programme covering key themes such as regulation, reuse, efficiency and good practice, as well as international innovation and experiences, and the opening day featured a keynote presentation by Special Envoy for International Water Affairs of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, Mr Henk Ovink.
‘We take pride in delivering events of the highest quality in key markets for the benefit of visitors and exhibitors alike,’ says Annette Bos, show director of Aquatech Global Events with RAI Amsterdam. ‘This great response is exactly what we hoped for and provides an excellent starting point for our future commitment in Mexico.’
Aquatech Mexico will return annually to Mexico City. The next edition allows for 30% expansion and is set for 5-6-7 September 2017. Over 60% of the expanded show floor is already rebooked.
