Closing statement China

From June 10-12, 2015, Aquatech China brought together thousands of water professionals in the brand new National Exhibition Centre (Shanghai). With over 2,000 exhibitors representing 30 countries, the show was already bigger and more international compared to 2014. But the number of visitors exceeded all expectations. 56,829 water professionals from over 80 countries came to find out about new products and the latest trends in the Chinese water sector. The ninth edition of Aquatech China is scheduled for 15-17 June 2016.

International newcomers enthusiastic
New international country pavilions from Holland and Spain were a great success. With the interesting Chinese water market, many international visitors and exhibitors were in attendance. Roeland Schuurman, Chief Representative, NBSO Nanjing said: “This year I took the initiative to arrange a Holland Pavilion at the Aquatech China, and I’m surely happy I did. The support from RAI Amsterdam was great, the exhibition was well-organised and the Dutch companies in our pavilion were very satisfied with the business results. We’ll be back!”

Report Launch: Corporate water disclosure in China
Chinese companies are failing to adequately assess and understand their exposure to risks from the country's polluted and increasingly scarce water supply, potentially undermining future competitiveness and access to investment, according to the CDP report released in June as part of the Industrial Leaders Forum China. The forum kicked off with the report launch followed by an interactive panel discussion about the report’s findings with professionals from Coca-Cola, McKinsey and Suez.
