Sino - Dutch (Shanghai) Sponge City Development Seminar II
For over a century the Dutch and Chinese have cooperated in solving challenges that urban development and water infrastructure development pose to the Chinese society. With China’s ambitious sponge city development programme, China is rapidly developing its knowledge and experience with regard to urban water management. The aim of these seminars is to create an opportunity for Chinese officials, companies and researchers working in the implementation of sponge city concepts and Dutch experts and companies to meet, learn and expire and exchange and explore the opportunities for further Sino-Dutch cooperation. This seminar focusses on lessons to be learned from implementation and experiences of Sino-Dutch technical sponge city projects in China. This is the second event in the sequence Sino-Dutch Sponge City Development seminars, co-organised by the relevant Shanghai municipal organizations and the Ministry of Infrastructure and Environment representatives in China (Dutch Embassy and CG Shanghai).
