TIMESTRIP ENSURES BEST QUALITY FILTERED WATER FOR AQUA CURE
Water treatment specialist Aqua Cure plc, is to begin using timestrip® smart labels on its water filtration systems.The timestrip® will be actively promoted at the forthcoming AquaTech 2006 exhibition in Amsterdam.
timestrip® six-month labels will be used to give Aqua Cure customers an easily visible indicator of when their water filter cartridge needs replacing. Currently, customers are required to complete a date panel, writing in the date when the filter was installed and subsequently having to remember to check it , to work out expiry dates. Exhausted filters are ineffective and the quality of filtered water is not to the standard required by the customer, thereby defeating the object of installing a filter system in the first place. With the addition of timestrip® smart labels, customers have an easy check on the life of the filter and, by changing the filter regularly, ensure the best quality of water is always on tap. With users replacing their filters sooner, Aqua Cure will benefit from improved filter change times, but happy in the knowledge the user has the best possible service from the filter.
timestrip® labels will be located either on the filter cartridge itself where the cartridges are disposable or, where the cartridges are internal to the system, on the outside of the unit, clearly visible to the user. Among the Aqua Cure products using the timestrip® labels will be the WATER GEM under-sink filter system, Eurpoes best selling DIY filter kit, domestic reverse osmosis (RO) units and ultra violet ( UV ) sterilisers. Additionally, Aqua Cure distributes products for other manufacturers and will be promoting timestrip® labels for use on all the filter systems it sells.

timestrip® labels are designed to show end-users of perishable products how long an item has been open or in use. When the label is activated, a non-toxic liquid dye travels across it at a consistent rate, giving a clear indication of the amount of time that has passed since the product was opened or first applied. The technology can be fully integrated into products or packaging as well as an applied label format.
Water filters, purifiers and filtration systems remove impurities and contaminants from ordinary tap water, turning it into clearer and better-tasting drinking water. Aqua Cure was founded in 1859 and is one of the UK’s largest suppliers of water filtration, purification and treatment systems.
