New Senior Product Manager for Amsterdam RAI water exhibitions
Amsterdam, 7 March 2007 - Amsterdam RAI, Holland’s largest exhibition organiser, has appointed Paddy Young (39) as Senior Product Manager of Aquatech and Aquaterra. Aquatech is the world’s leading trade fair for the global water industry and is held in Amsterdam, the USA and Asia. Aquaterra is the biennial world forum on delta and coastal development, the most recent edition of which took place in February 2007. In addition to Young, Nick Mouthaan (28) was recently appointed as Sales Manager for Aquatech. Other members of the team are Magalie Hooft Graafland (Junior Product Manager), Marieke Leenhouts (Communications & PR Manager), Inés Verhallen (Communications & PR Assistant) and Galina Gorbach (Project Assistant).
Paddy Young has extensive experience in the events sector, having worked as a Director at TE2 (Expomedia), Events Director at CMP in Maarssen (NL) and Divisional Director at ITE in London. Overseeing the Water Technology domain, Young’s duties will include the further expansion of the Aquatech brand and strengthening relations with all parties in the market.
“The previous edition of Aquatech Amsterdam in 2006 – was a great success,” says Young, who took up his new post on March 1, 2007. “Visitors and exhibitors alike were very satisfied and no less than 82 percent of exhibitors stated in a post-show survey that they would be returning for the next Aquatech Amsterdam. The exhibition already has a fine reputation and together with the team my goal is to take Aquatech to the next level. This will include examining ways of further expanding the brand’s international profile and reach.”
Nick Mouthaan replaced Niels Klarenbeek as Sales Manager for the Aquatech exhibitions after Niels took up a new challenge in the sector. Mouthaan previously worked as Sales Manager with the Exhibitor Services division of the Amsterdam RAI.
