AQUATECH AMSTERDAM BREAKS ALL RECORDS

The 23rd edition of Aquatech Amsterdam was a major success and broke all records. The world’s leading exhibition in the field of process, drinking and waste water was part of the International Water Week (IWW) for the first time, transforming it into a full-scale event. Aquatech Amsterdam is now the largest, leading trade show in Europe solely dedicated to water.

Highlights of the show:

  • Prime Minister Rutte visited the trade show floor on November 3
  • The worlds of water technology and water management were brought together at Integrated Aqua Solutions
  • At the opening ceremony, a glass of treated water from the Amsterdam canals was served
  • 40 Official international delegations visited Aquatech and the Netherlands
  • Industrial leaders and senior executives gathered at the ILF
  • Dutch team wins the World Championships Pipefitting
  • Over 150 new products were launched
  • A record breaking growht in visitor numbers and exhibitors

International Water Week

With the addition of the IWW, the programme was expanded with nine conferences, a wide range of seminars, an extensive activity programme for Young Water Professionals, and various excursions to high-profile water projects and locations in Amsterdam and elsewhere in the Netherlands. There were even a number of public water events organised throughout Amsterdam.
